Tesla Model X open to world

Californian based electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla Motors, has today unveiled it’s Model X concept car at Tesla’s own design studio in Los Angeles.

The Model X f an innovative door design known as Falcon Wing doors, which conveniently open up, and out, for easy and unrestricted access. With the doors open, there is sufficient height for an adult to stand in the centre row to lock in a child booster seat, for example. The second row seats can slide forward for easy access to the third row seats.

Model X will offer a choice of either a 60 or 80 kWh batteries; expect performance to be in the range of sub 5.0 seconds for the 0-100km/h sprint.

Part SUV and part minivan, the Model X will seat seven adults across three rows of seats.

Passenger comfort and cargo space will be exemplary with the Tesla’s flat battery positioned under the floor, while a second storage area is located under the bonnet.

Powering Tesla’s Model X will be dual electric motors with all-wheel drive for additional safety in wet weather. The all-wheel drive system is able to detect slippage and redirect power and torque to those wheels with the most traction.
