Kia, which has launched nine new products in the last three years, plans to move forward with design-led transformations, unveiling the Kia GT four-door sports sedan concept for the first time in the United States at the L.A. Auto Show.

“This is Kia’s first rear-wheel-drive concept,” said Chief Design Officer Peter Schreyer at Wednesday’s press conference. “Beneath the hood is a 3.3-liter turbocharged engine, 395 horsepower, eight-speed automatic transmission. Put it all together, what you get is a four-door sports sedan that’s sleek and masculine and breathtaking.”

Called a “Sportback” in Audi-speak, the new five-door A1 goes on sale in Europe early next year with no less than six engine options: three TFSI gasoline and three TDI diesel engines producing between 86 and 185 horsepower.


While most come with a standard six-speed manual or optional automatic, some can be equipped with a seven-speed S tronic dual clutch transmission.

Ford Prepare To Figo 1600 cc

TVR is Back

Following initial rumours about a possible comeback, it now appears that TVR has been revived and is back in business. The British marque is offering to create ‘reborn and new’ cars and is quite surprising, located in Austria.

Honda NSX could be launched by 2014

Speculations of the Honda / Acura NSX being heading to the final stage of development might come faster than we expected. A recent report says that the car is said to be launched early 2014.

Via an anonymous source, Auto Express reports that the NSX will be inspired by the Acura roadster concept that will be shown in the upcoming Avengers movie. On the other hand an Acura spokesman stated:

The vehicle is just a ‘one-off’, a fictional car that was made just for the movie and will not be produced.

Although noting is confirmed yet rumours also started about the powersource. The NSX would come with a 3.5 or 3.7 liter V6 engine which will be supplemented by two electric motors. How much power the engines will produce is completely unknown.

Ferrari 599 successor to have more than 700 HP

Ferrari has been in a generous mood lately as they have revealed a plethora of new details about their upcoming product lineup.

We've already reported about the Enzo successor earlier today, but now there's word the 599 replacement will outgun the Lamborghini Aventador. Speaking with Car & Driver, Ferrari CEO Amedeo Felisa confirmed the model will have "more than 700 [metric] horsepower (690 bhp / 515 kW), but it's not because of the Aventador."

Besides making the aforementioned statement, the executive revealed the car will be front-engined and ride on an aluminum-intensive platform. Hardly ground breaking stuff, but at least it comes straight from the horse's mouth.

Just shortly after the Italians at Ferrari decided to announce their plans for the 458 Scuderia and some other products in their lineup we got ourselves a treat from the streets.

The successor to their V12 powered coupe the Ferrari 599 was spotted rolling around and it was covered in some light camouflage, so it’s not that difficult to tell what it looks like.


As far as the made up body we see on this Ferrari 599 it seems to be using the rear end from the past version of the car and that’s mated to the front of the Ferrari California.

Inline for the new release Ferrari is expected to come forward with the same general appearance, a long bonnet to house the V12, a GT-sized cabin at the back and most likely only two seats.

Mercedes-Benz CLS 500 by MEC Design

Lately the new CLS is getting a lot of attention from aftermarket specialists. First, Kicherer gave it a boost in styling and performance, now the CLS 500 has just received a new modification package, with the kit now coming from MEC Design.

This tuning package actually targets the car’s visual appearance mostly, while offering a few light technical modification.

Looking a bit sinister in that matte black, the CLS 500 has an aggressive body kit with modified bumpers with LED fog plus day lights, head light units with a black background finishing, LED mirror covers, a carbon fiber rear diffuser and a trunk-mounted spoiler. Beside these it comprises a suspension lowering module, 20-inch matte black alloy wheels and a sport exhaust with 4 stainless steel end pipes completes the list of exterior mods.

Lincoln has dropped the price of its top-tier vehicle, the 2012 Lincoln MKT EcoBoost crossover, by $3,000 to $46,295, excluding $875 for destination.
